Brook welcomes NSPCC's 'Flaw in the Law' campaign

Responding to the launch of NSPCC's new Flaw in the Law campaign, Simon Blake OBE, Brook's Chief Executive, said:

Brook welcomes the NSPCC’s Flaw in the Law campaign which aims to address confusion and fragmentation in the current laws around grooming and online sexual abuse.

The world of the internet and technology offers young people many exciting opportunities but these must be balanced by a law which ensures children and young people are safe from exploitation and grooming in any form.

Any change in the law must be accompanied by clear and consistent messages to young people in the media, at home and at school to ensure they fully understand the rights and protections afforded to them.
