Brook responds to report on young people and online pornography

Responding to the report "I wasn’t sure it was normal to watch it": The impact of online pornography on the values, attitudes, beliefs and behaviours of children, by the Children's Commissioner, NSPCC and Middlesex University, Helen Marshall, Chief Executive of young people's sexual health and wellbeing charity Brook said:

"The report is an important contribution to the discussion about young people, digital rights, and access to online pornography.

"I'm not surprised that the report found young people wanted sex and relationships education that covers pornography and online safety – this is also Brook's experience, as good SRE equips young people with the skills and confidence to then make choices about their online activity, and gives them the resilience they need to cope with such issues."
