Brook relaunch

Brook logoHealthy Lives for Young People

Brook, the UK’s leading sexual health and wellbeing charity for young people, reveals its new brand and an ambitious three year Strategic Plan.

Helen Marshall, Brook Chief Executive, says:

In 1964 Helen Brook created a pioneering health service providing unmarried women with access to contraception and for the past 50 years Brook has continued to build on this pioneering vision. Today our services in local communities, education programmes, training for professionals and campaigning work means that young people are better equipped to make positive and healthy lifestyle choices.

In recent years Brook has experienced challenging times. Funding cuts, increased competition in commissioning and the changing needs of young people have diluted our impact and I think it’s fair to say we lost some of our trailblazing spirit.  We’ve now set out our ambitious plans for the next 3 years in our new strategic plan and we are more determined than ever to champion the rights of young people.”

Brook’s brand has been refreshed to mark this new chapter in Brook’s history, in line with Brook’s new strategic vision. It has been developed to give a more contemporary, relevant feel that appeals to young people today.

At Brook’s relaunch event at Kings Place in London last night [on 23 March 2017] Brook Ambassador, vlogger and author, Hannah Witton, said:

From me and all the other young people out there, thank you Brook for the great work you do in helping us to enjoy our sexual lives and here’s to our continued future of talking about sex and relationships with bravery and honesty.”
