Brook delighted by double win at the Charity Times Awards

Young people’s sexual health and wellbeing charity Brook’s Corporate Services Department walked away from the recent Charity Times Awards with two awards – for HR Management and Financial Management.

The awards ceremony, hosted by Charity Times magazine, was held at the Park Plaza hotel in Westminster, central London.

Brook’s People and Organisational Development team, winners of the HR award, and its Finance teams are based in Liverpool, and work closely with corporate partners including accountancy firm Saffery Champness and financial software provider bluQube.

Tim Scott, Head of People and Organisational Development said:

“We are absolutely delighted that both our People & OD and Finance teams have been recognised by the Charity Times at this prestigious awards ceremony.

“We all work hard at Brook to deliver quality services to young people and these awards demonstrate that our commitment runs right throughout the organisation, from our clinics to our central services.”

Cara Turtington, a partner in the Not-for-Profit Group at accountancy firm Saffery Champness, commented:

"I would like to congratulate the Finance Team at Brook. This award is well-deserved recognition for the enormous amount of hard work that they have put into improving their processes and systems. Working with them is a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I am certain that they will continue to strive for excellence in all that they do over the coming years."

A spokesperson for bluQube said:

“It’s fantastic to see Brook’s forward thinking approach and hard work get the industry recognition it deserves and it’s clear the success of their finance team will cement their leading position for years to come.”
