Participation and Volunteering Lead Volunteer

Participation and Volunteering Lead Volunteers are instrumental in designing and shaping the participation and volunteering opportunities that Brook provides. They work in partnership with the Participation and Volunteering Manager to create opportunities for young people to influence how Brook delivers their service, alongside creating exciting and beneficial opportunities for members of the public to support Brook’s work. 

Key responsibilities include*:

• Develop an awareness of what Brook requires within participation and volunteering and any limitations which exist.
• Discover what volunteer opportunities young people and other members of the public would like from Brook through consultation with them.
• Shape roles and opportunities so they will be appealing to young people and other members of the public.
• Help define terms used within participation and volunteering at Brook.
• Be an ambassador for participation and volunteering within Brook and the wider sector.
• Develop support structures for volunteers
• Develop training programmes for volunteers, concentrating on the induction.
• Develop marketing strategies to attract young people and other members of the public to the opportunities.
• Develop reward schemes for volunteers.
