Alternative clinics

Brook’s partner Blackpool Teaching Hospital NHS Trust  also provide clinics at Brook in Burnley outside of our walk-in opening times. For information about this service or to make an appointment to attend these clinics and other young peoples sexual health services across Lancashire please call 0300 1234154.

Walk-in clinics

Walk-in clinics are available during the week for young people who do not wish to make an appointment.

  • Sometimes the walk-in clinics can become very busy, and on occasions a temporary stop may be put in place to manage this.
  • We understand that this can be disappointing for those that may face a longer wait than usual or may not be able to be seen.
  • In these situations our staff will make every effort to redirect you to an alternative service the same day, or to return to Brook on a different day.
  • We recommend that you try not to leave it to the last day of your pill / patch to access a walk in clinic for repeat contraception. We can book you an appointment for repeat contraception, just ring 0300 1234154 or ask at reception.

Free STI home testing kits

If you are aged 16-24 years and live in Lancashire (excluding Blackburn with Darwen) you can access free postal STI kits by visiting: lancashiresexualhealth.nhs.uk/testing-options/
