Frequently asked questions

Unfortunately no, we require fully completed application form available in each job advert.

If you are interested in working for Brook but there aren’t currently any suitable roles open, you can upload your CV and we will get in touch if anything suitable becomes available. upload your CV.

If you are unable to complete an online application and would like to apply in a different format, please contact the Recruitment Team by emailing recruitment@brook.org.uk. In your email, please provide details of your requirements, or suggestions about how we can best support you.

It is important that you follow the application instructions carefully, completing all sections of the online application form so that the recruiting panel understands your interests, skills, knowledge and experience. Pay special attention to the 'supporting statement', complete it to its fullest (up to 2 pages a4) as it is the main part you will be shortlisted on.

The person specification sets out the key knowledge, skills and experience needed to carry out the job successfully. Your application will be assessed based on the information you provide.

If you don’t quite meet the criteria, such as if you have an understanding of something rather than experience of doing it yourself, you may still pick up points for explaining how you might approach it.

However, if a person specification asks for specific qualifications that are essential for the role you are unlikely to be shortlisted if you do not have these.

If you have any questions about your suitability for a role, you can get in touch by emailing recruitment@brook.org.uk.

Every recruitment campaign will be different depending on how quickly the shortlisting panel can review applications. However, if you have not been shortlisted you will receive an email from us confirming that.

We are only able to offer feedback on your application if you attend an interview. This means we cannot provide feedback if you aren’t shortlisted.

If you have attended an interview but aren’t successful, we are able to provide feedback.

If the gap between advertising has been short, we would normally advise that candidates do not need to apply again.

If you have any questions please email recruitment@brook.org.uk for further information or support.
